Bridging Gi To No Gi With Reverse De La Riva
March 2021
Starting out as a remix of my first reverse de la riva guard instructional. I decided to turn this project in to a way to bridge the divide between gi and no gi by utilizing the same guard system. Luckily enough, the reverse de la riva is a versatile guard that lends itself to attacking in no gi as well as a great sweeping guard in the gi. It's my hope that through this instructional will serve as a tool to encourage students to train both styles moving forward.
This instructional is broken down in to 3 sections: the basics, how to attack, using reverse de la riva in the gi
